ABOUT THE DESIGNER
A graduate from the London College of Fashion, with prior internship experience at premier fashion houses Vivienne Westwood and Escada, Parsi born designer Farah Sanjana is known for her celebration of unique prints, surface textile & surface ornamentation through scrap re-use and takes pride in making beautiful clothes for people from all over the world.
OUR SOLE PRIORITY
Farah Sanjana is known for its bold and unconventional elegance that always makes a statement by continuously experimenting with androgynous shapes and rigid structures that merge seamlessly with surprisingly delicate feminine flourishes. With its trademark strong and sharp cuts, aesthetically appealing colours, and unique embellishments, ‘Farah Sanjana’ keeps the glamour quotient high, and creates a look of effortless sophistication .
OUR UNWAVERING FOCUS
The soul of brand Farah Sanjana lies in its celebration of prints, surface textile & surface ornamentation in its various forms. We are continuously trying to create different textures and techniques through hand drawn digitally rendered prints, Laser cutting & high-density rubber printing. This season we have revisited prints by using metallic foil printing, flock printing & two-toned rubber printing techniques. .Our hustle includes wanting to develop new one of a kind fabric and textile techniques to create extremely interesting shapes and develop 3D prints from fabric surplous & metallic scraps from our embroideries.
OUR COMMITMENT
Aid for Migrant Workers & Domestic Violence Victims
Amid the pandemic, 'SavingTheArtist' was launched to support fashion industry heroes like embroiderers, tailors, and artists. Led by Brand Farah Sanjana, it united 14 designers and partnered with the SNEHA charity. Funds raised provided financial support to our artisans, and a portion aided domestic violence victims. We sold popular items through 'SavingTheArtist' with 100% of the proceeds benefiting our workers and SNEHA
Inclusivity & Love Beyond Borders
We take pride in our inclusive ethos, celebrating diversity in all its forms. Hailing from the Zoroastrian Parsi community, we're conscious of the need for inclusivity, as this community faces dwindling numbers. Our label has always embraced women of all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, religions, and ethnicities. From dressing children in the MASAI MARA to India's first transgender model, Anjali Lama, we aim to make Farah Sanjana more than a clothing label— it's an emotion. We're thrilled to have dressed two young girls from a village in Kenya's stunning Masai region, underlining our commitment to sharing love and culture through clothing.
Reducing our Carbon Footprint
To minimize waste and maximize its use, our brand follows 'Mindful Mondays' and 'Waste-Free Wednesdays.' We upcycle previous collections, textile waste, and surplus materials, such as 'The Upcycled 1.0 Jacket' at our flagship store. We're dedicated to conscious choices in creating beautiful pieces, and our team continually explores innovative ways to uphold our 'Waste-Not' ethos.
